Wrote... well this is neat.. i just started to explore these websites they have for connecting w old classmates but so far the names and words really take me back.. i attnded center frm 86-88 .. it was so so fun.. the principal was mr blankenship or blankenstaff.. the councelor mrs christopher.. i rmebr the janitor used to be so cool.. i remember mr and mrs kidd too.. my gosh! mrs kidd would tell her ice cream stories in the summer time .. mr brazina (science) had all the snacks for sale.. mr morales .. he was cool.mr lopez-- science... the cutie pie!!.. "the bleachers".. LOL...mr conklin-- so tall ! i was known for my cha cha hair style-- now whn i look at my pics.. i just laugh..those were the days! i had so much fun here .. i loved the sock hops ! ..hanging put on that platform behind the office at lunch ....competing for yearbook titles..all the crushes.. i lived right across the street too..you really cherish these times as age comes..thank you for sharing...

Wrote... This complaint goes out to the Azusa Unified School District! WHY DID YOU CHANGE OUR MASCOTT NAME FROM THE "CAVALIERS" to the "cougars?" Wrote... I attended Center Intermediate from fall of 1967 to spring of 1969. It was a unique time to be there. Not only was there a centennial celebration with the bell, but also, we had a tremendous amount of great athletes. Our track team set many records in my 8th grade year, and during my 7th grade year our basketball team was unstoppable. I know that most of you in this year group remember John Toigo. Unfortunately, he passed away in the Reno area, from a heart attack. We will miss him alot. He was quite a personality. Who do you know that had his vigor of social discourse? I still can't believe he's passed away! I had some great friends who ended up going to Gladstone High, while I ended up at Azusa High. I made some super friends at Azusa, but I sure wished I could have kept contact with my old Center buddies who landed at Gladstone.

Wrote... Remeber that most of my friends went to Gladstone High. Everyone who lived south of Gladstone St went there and everyone living north of Gladstone St went to Azusa. Also remeber the old school bell that is still out in front of the school. I'm glad that I ended up an AZTEC...

Wrote... I don't have any triva but I was the Center Cavaliers Mascot 1974 & 75.I was in the Azusa Golden days parade, I had to wear that huge cavlier head. My best friend was Diane Rayburn. I used to love the art teacher, I can't remember his name.Alot of our friends went to Gladstone, we went to Azusa!
